Paul D. Hoffmann, President, is a co-founder of ProCert Labs. He is responsible for the vision as well as the daily operation of ProCert Labs, The Quality Assurance Standard For Professional Certification Courseware.

Mr. Hoffmann’s IT certification career began when he managed Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certifications and Authorized Training Center (ATC) recruitment for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) program in 1993. In this capacity, he helped develop strategic relationships with companies including HP, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, and IBM, and was instrumental in bringing these companies under contract with Microsoft. During his tenure in the Microsoft Solutions Provider program, the number of ATCs and MCTs doubled.

At the time just a bullet point on the responsibilities description, Mr. Hoffmann was responsible for tracking Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) to ACTs and other Microsoft Solutions Providers. From this program the Microsoft Independent Courseware Vendor (ICV) program was born.

From Microsoft’s Certified Professional program, Mr. Hoffmann was recruited to aid in building the Microsoft’s Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification program (currently known as the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist - MCAP program). He was responsible for developing the academic and staffing sales channels, working closely with recruitment centers, colleges and universities. He was also responsible for the development of strategic relationships with professional associations in the certification marketplace. And once again, Mr. Hoffmann was given the responsibility of an official curriculum program, this time for Microsoft Office.

As a result of his experience in the IT certification industry, he brings valuable insight to the IT community from a training and certification perspective.
